Why: the silent layer lives at the very top of the spectrum, where a lossy encoder spends the fewest bits. MP3 does not reliably preserve that band, while WAV keeps the rendered signal lossless.
Fix: export the Studio master (WAV). Play the file without audio re-encoding when the silent layer matters.
