Why: the studio preview is the working monitor for mixing, so the system pauses it with the screen, like any editing session.
Fix: for real listening sessions, open Listen in the top bar. It plays your program’s listening copy, keeps playing on a locked phone with lockscreen controls, counts your protocol minutes, and has a sleep timer for night sessions.
