A voice line pokes out of the music

Play the mix and read the masking status. Move the margin into the suggested range. If it still warns, the bed has a hole where consonants live: pick a fuller bed or raise the music.

Check: play the mix and read the masking status in the Mix phase. It tells you when a line can surface at the current depth, and it already carries a live measurement of how well this bed covers the speech band; it holds to the weakest stretch, so a bed with quiet gaps is judged by its gaps.

Fix: drag the margin control into the green suggested range (or press “Reset all levels”). If the status still warns, the bed has a hole where consonants live. A suggested margin cannot fix that; pick a fuller bed or raise the music a notch.
